PostHeaderIcon 3rd visit - Day 5 – Sunday, 17th October 2010

7:00 Breakfast
7:00 Journey back home to Perg. This time we went straight across Budapest and the Danube, briefly admiring all major buildings and bridges a second time.

PostHeaderIcon 3rd visit - Day 4 – Saturday, 16th October 2010

7:00 Breakfast
7:30 Travel to Aggtelek
10:00 Guided tour through the caves of Aggtelek. It’s a big complex and the entire way through it would be 25 kilometres long. We just walked the short round, which took us one hour. We were quite impressed by the size and the number of stalactites. A lot of them were rather little, however some others looked like really big columns.
12:00 Lunch
14:00 In Szilvásvárad we went by an old traditional train to a kind of park. We played football there and then we went back to the station on foot.
Finally we had the possibility to ride a horse or to make a coach journey.
18:00 Travel back to the hotel

PostHeaderIcon 3rd visit - Day 3 – Friday, 15th October 2010

7:30 Breakfast
8:00 Going to Jenő Wigner School
9:30 We carried out the rally for primary school pupils, in which they had to test our audio-dictionary. It worked well!! The students also saw a film about a typical day at the HTL Perg.

13:00 Travel to Lake Tisza
14:30 Lake Tisza
We had the opportunity to go canoeing there or for a walk. Fortunately nobody fell into the cold water.

PostHeaderIcon 3rd visit - Day 2 – Thursday, 14th October 2010

7:30 Breakfast

Start-up meeting

Professor Reisinger told us what we would have to finish during the 3rd visit and formed teams.
We had to finalize our work and prepare an audio-dictionary rally for pupils of a primary school, who were aged from 14 to 15.

11:00 City-Rally
We got a questionnaire about Budapest and we had to go through the city and for instance we had to count the statues of the State Opera House.
We also had to find the Grand Market Hall at the end.

We successfully finshed all our tasks.

Library

We saw the big and old library of Eger. They have orginal manuscripts for example from Goethe, Shakespeare and Mozart.

15:30 Spare-time
18:00 We went to Szépasszonyvölgy (Schönfrauenthal) for a second time.
There we visited a traditional wine cellar and tasted two different wines. Then we spent the rest of the evening in a typical wine cellar, where we could savor different wines and the Egri Bikavér, the so-called bull’s blood, which is a wine Eger is famous for.
 
 

 



 

PostHeaderIcon 3rd visit - Day 1 – Wednesday, 13th October 2010

8:00 Some of the Austrian students got together in Perg. We loaded our luggage into the trunk and got on the bus. We left Perg for Eger.
16:00 We arrived in Eger. We were quite pleased to see all the familiar places and buildings. This time we found Eger under a splendid autumn sun.
Our accommodation was the hotel Szent István, the same hotel as the year before.
18:00 We had our dinner at the hotel.
After that we had spare-time and could go to the town and do something in the hotel.
